MANDATORY DEFENCES – PURSE BIDS/NEGOTIATIONS

Following the opening of purse bids by CBC Chairman, Philip Brook Smith QC, at 12.00 midday today,
I confirm the latest position with regard to mandatory defences of the Commonwealth
Championships ordered by the CBC :-

SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT ROCKY FIELDING (Champion, England) v VIJENDER SINGH (India)
Bidding was won by QUEENSBERRY PROMOTIONS the contest to take place at THE COPPERBOX
ARENA, HACKNEY WICK, LONDON on 31ST MARCH 2018

FEATHERWEIGHT REECE BELLOTTI (Champion, England) v FELIX WILLIAMS (Ghana)
No bids were received for this contest. A decision will be made by the CBC either for the contest to
be put out again or to be considered null and void.

SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT ASHLEY LANE (Champion, England) v EMMANUEL QUARTEY (Ghana)
Agreements was reached between the parties for the contest to be promoted by WEST COUNTRY
BOXING and to take place in BRISTOL on 16TH MARCH 2018.

FLYWEIGHT JAY HARRIS (Champion, Wales) v DEXTER MARQUES (Guyana)
Bidding was won by QUEENSBERRY PROMOTIONS the contest to take place at THE COPPERBOX
ARENA, HACKNEY WICK, LONDON on 31ST MARCH 2018.
