INTRODUCING COMMONWEALTH
SILVER
CHAMPIONSHIPS
At the AGM of the Commonwealth Boxing Council last month (May) it was voted in excess that we introduce Commonwealth Silver Championships, these will replace the current Eliminators.
Silver Championships will consist of 10×3 minute rounds, the winner awarded a Commonwealth Silver (version) Championship Belt and have a sanction fee of £1500 plus the usual Officials and Supervisor fees.
Contenders for this title will ideally already be a listed contender, but not essential. A boxer winning a CBC Silver Belt will not automatically be considered the mandatory contender but, subject to prior or later results and at the discretion of the CBC, may be awarded mandatory status or be selected for a Final Eliminator.
