COMMONWEALTH BULLETIN 23rd December 2017

COMMONWEALTH BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DECLARED VACANT
With DUKE MICAH of Ghana having been unable to meet his CBC defence requirements despite an extension granted, the CBC has reluctantly declared the Bantamweight Championships vacant, this being applicable forthwith.
We wish Duke and his team the very best of luck with his World Title ambitions

JASON MOLONEY of Australia is the mandatory in this weight division and he and his team are being permitted to make a match for the vacant Title against a suitable challenger, subject to the approval of the CBC.

FORMER PRESIDENT DR MALEFETSANE (PETER) NGATANE (SOUTH AFRICA)
Congratulations have been extended to CBC Director Dr Ngatane by his fellow CBC Directors following his appointment by the Minister for Sport and Recreation in South Africa, as Chairperson of the national regulatory authority, Boxing South Africa.
Dr Ngatane, who served his two year term as CBC President in 2013/14, is a much respected administrator both in South Africa and around the boxing world, as evidenced by his positions, not only with BSA but also the CBC, the African Boxing Union and the World Boxing Council
