LIGHT-FLYWEIGHT

The Commonwealth Boxing Council is pleased to announce that following a unanimous decision by
the Directors that Light-Flyweight (108lb and under) is now a recognised weight division for
Commonwealth Championships.
The Commonwealth have received and approved an application for the Vacant Light-Flyweight title,
details to be circulated shortly. In due course a list of contenders for this weight division will be
circulated. Any recommendations for this weight division are to be sent to
Debbie.Down@commbc.com
Light Flyweight (108lb) already exists globally and is recognised by many Governing Bodies, including
the WBC to which the CBC are affiliated.
There is no doubt this will be a well utilised weight division and hope that many will be able to take
advantage of this now being in existence.
