The Commonwealth Boxing Council is pleased to confirm that Constantin Ursu will defend his Commonwealth Welterweight Championship against Ben Vaughan on Saturday 29 August at The O2 Arena, London, as part of the undercard to the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgovic. The event will be promoted by Queensberry Promotions and broadcast live on DAZN.
Undefeated champion Constantin Ursu enters the contest with a perfect professional record of 15-0, having established himself as one of Britain’s leading domestic welterweights. The Moldovan-born southpaw will be making the first defence of the Commonwealth crown alongside the British title he currently holds.
Standing opposite him will be Ben Vaughan, who has earned his opportunity to challenge for both championships after compiling a 12-2 professional record.
